Dear Valued Customers and OPA Applicants,
On July 2, the OPA made an announcement that could affect all applicants that do not have OPA conditional contracts.

In response to this news from the OPA, EthoSolar would like to affirm our commitment to you. It is our desire to stand by our customers through this and work on your behalf as it relates to the OPA over the next 30 days before they make a final decision. We also want to confirm that we are here to respond to your concerns, at any time. Please know that your local dealer will also be available to answer any questions and concerns that you might have.
We want to point out that the change to 58.8 cents per kWh is just a proposed amount at this point and we do have the next 30 days to influence their decision. (http://microfit.powerauthority.on.ca/Public-Consultation/Upcoming-Events.php) We also encourage everyone to respond to this by writing in to your MPP, the OPA and the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. Have your voice heard by attending the OPA webinars and communicating your disappointment and concern over the government’s decision. Let them know how making this rate retroactive will affect your investment as well as renewable energy programs in the future. Feel free to write your own personalized letter or utilize the enclosed template. We strongly encourage you to wait until the decision has been finalized by the OPA at the end of this month before you make up your mind to move forward or not. If at that time you decide to cancel your contract, EthoSolar will gladly reimburse your deposit. It is imperative that you keep your investment in place and keep your contract “as is” with the OPA if there is any hope of retaining the original price. Do not reapply or cancel your contract. We do believe that it is possible that the OPA will change their decision and will be working for a solution towards that end.
Whatever the outcome of the next 30 days, EthoSolar will be available to respond to your thoughts and concerns. We want you to know that you will be supported and that we will continue to be proactive towards the satisfaction of all our customers.
