About Us
We are a family farm located in the Wasaga Beach area. For the past few years, we, Ken and Geri Rounds, have been researching opportunities to diversify our farm, as well as generate passive income. We have looked into wind, biodiesel, ethanol, and just recently we researched solar. We loved the idea of generating renewable energy, however, the return on investment never made it financially viable. This changed with the new FIT / Micro-FIT program introduced through the Ontario Government’s Green Energy Act. We researched several solar companies and decided to put up a system manufactured by Canadian Solar Solutions because of their quality and price.
The more we have learned about solar energy, the more excited we have become about sharing this opportunity with farmers all across Ontario. Thus, we created the business, EthoSolar, with our daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Jeremy DeSota. We sell and install complete systems produced by one of the world’s leading solar panel manufacturers – Canadian Solar.
EthoSolar is founded upon our desire to share this opportunity with farmers, make the installation process as simple as possible, and to help each potential purchaser install the solar project that is right for their farm and budget.
